Manage employee details
When to use this procedure
Follow the steps below to establish and maintain employee demographic information, such as address and phone numbers, as well as to require the employee to clock in before using AIMsi, password expiration information, and touchscreen button colors.
Steps to complete
Prerequisites: You must add the employee to AIMsi on the Employee/Group Administration window before you can add employee details. If you want to use password settings, you must also set system variable LoginSecurityType to 2.
- On the Admin menu, point to Employee/Security and click Employee Details. The Employee Details window displays.
- On the Default tab, click Add.
- Enter the employee's basic demographic information, including address, email, and phone numbers.
- Enter an employment start date.
- Enter wage information and any exemptions.
- Click the Details tab.
- If you have employee IDs for a 3rd party software system, such as for an outside accounting firm or an electronic keycard system, enter it in the 3rd Party ID box.
- If you use the Touchscreen module and would like to color-code open customer tabs by the employee who opened the tab, enter values for the Use Touchscreen Button Colors and Red/Green/Blue boxes.
- Select the Required to be Clocked In check box to require your employees to clock in through AIMsi before they can post anything in AIMsi.
- Indicate if the employee is paid hourly or is salaried.
- If desired, enter password requirements for this employee. Be sure to set system variable LoginSecurityType to 2 if you use these boxes.
- Click Save.
- On the Admin menu, point to Employee/Security and click Employee Details. TheEmployee Details window displays.
- On the Default tab, select the employee you want to change in the grid.
- Revise the demographic and basic wage and exemption information as necessary.
- Click the Details tab and revise ID, touchscreen, clock in/out, and password requirements as necessary.
- Click Save.
Note: Deleting employee details does not remove the employee from AIMsi. Delete the employee from the Employee/Group Administration window.
- On the Admin menu, point to Employee/Security and click Employee Details. TheEmployee Details window displays.
- On the Default tab, select the employee you want to delete in the grid.
- Click Delete.
